Applying bike protection film
Prepare.
Apply. Ride.
Dry application is possible. For dark frames, we recommend wet application with our #EASY APPLY application gel. Our full instructions explain the application and finishing steps.
Prepare the frame
Clean and degrease the surfaces with a cleaner suitable for your bike. The paint must be undamaged and fully cured.
Position the shapes
Hold the pieces against the frame first. Scan the packaging QR code for the application plan and apply at 20–22 °C.
Let the adhesive bond
Finish the film as described in our instructions. Leave your bike for 24 hours, then press the film down again.

XXL frame protection?
Will the XXL film fit my mountain bike?
The universal shapes are designed for different frame shapes. Hold the pieces against your frame and check the coverage before applying them. XXL protects the top tube, down tube, seat tube, seat stays and chain stays.
Can I use the film on aluminium and carbon?
Yes, on suitable aluminium and carbon frame surfaces and on intact, fully cured paintwork. Clean and degrease the surface before applying the film.
Do printed designs provide the same coverage?
Yes. Clear and printed XXL designs provide the same coverage. Both are available in matte and glossy finishes. The pattern changes the look, not the protected frame areas.
Can I use the standard XXL kit on an e-bike?
Yes, if the shapes suit your compatible frame surfaces. Dedicated E-bike XXL kits have 33 pieces instead of 35 and wider down tube films. Reliable adhesion cannot be guaranteed on plastic battery covers. Apply the film only to suitable frame surfaces; for bikes with plastic battery covers, we recommend our standard kits.
How do I remove the bike protection film?
Warm the film pieces with a household hairdryer, then slowly peel them off at a 180° angle. Follow the temperature and application guidance in our BP01 installation instructions.
