About the Alpenrose Gasthof
For years, Gasthof Alpenrose, the village inn in Grainbach, has been known as a cultivated restaurant with its seasonal cuisine. The characteristic house right next to the church and the cozy beer garden form the stylish setting for a special gastronomic experience!
Due to the good location directly at the Bikepark Samerberg, mountain biking is capitalized here, the owner "Flo" is himself absolutely mountain bike affine and passionately likes to sit on his bike. Due to his love of design, he has often developed his own designs and put them into circulation in the form of merchandise.
The culinary offer of the Alpenrose can best be described as Bavarian-Styrian refined cuisine. Florian Lerche acquired his skills and flair for creative compositions during his apprenticeship years in Styria and as a chef in Austrian establishments, and has developed them over the years.
The building was mentioned as a tavern as early as 1565. Since 1868 it has been owned by the Wörndl/Lerche family, who are now the fifth generation to run it.
In the well-stocked wine cellar, wine lovers will find the right drop for every dish - from Styrian Schilcher to the young wild ones from the Rheingau.
